I was asked if I would share this story which is connected to being visible with social action activities...

I have been hosting TV shows in Savannah for almost 20 years. I'm sure that some remember Baha'i Viewpoint ...smiles... for the last 12 or so years I have been doing another show, Parent University TV.

Well, on January 20th I did a show with Imam Maajid Ali. Before the show he wanted to sing with me the song "We are one Family" by Red Grammer. It was the theme song for the Baha'i Viewpoint for many years. Maajid never appeared on that show for various reasons.

We pledged to each other after the show to begin working together as never before to create spaces for growth and learning. We talked of service projects and dialogs that we must take a leading role in creating. He had been having heart problems for some years. He told me he wanted to get this started immediately..

This week, Maajid Ali, the Imam of Masjid Jihad was laid to rest,...." Apparently he died of a heart attack. Surely there is a message here for us all.

I am so grateful to have had an opportunity to spend time conversing with this truly eloquent, thoughtful, delightful and spiritual soul. His passing is a loss for us all. He shall be missed. May God's blessings be with you always my friend...
